Dining Hall / Theatre
$5.8 Million
The F-Building expansion opened in the fall of 2022 and features a new dining hall and theatre. Robertson Dining Hall features seating for 575 students, a full service kitchen, serving area, drink station, salad bar, and soup stations. Adjacent to the dining hall, the new theatre debuted on Dec. 16, 2022 with a ribbon cutting ceremony prior to opening night of The Secret Garden. The facility features 500 fixed seats with a broadway-style stage, a black box theatre, dressing rooms, and bathrooms. This space is the home for our expanding Fine Arts program, chapel services, schoolwide performances, and the epicenter for our growing campus.
Lower School Expansion
$2.8 Million
Investing in the next generation is a mission we take very seriously at HCA. In our pursuit of fulfilling this mission, we quickly realized that our beautiful, new Lower School was just not big enough to accommodate God’s growing blessings. This recognition prompted us to begin the process of adding eight new classrooms and an expanded cafeteria, which opened in the fall of 2021. Along with the new building, an imagination-inducing new playground was added, creating more space for our Lower School students play outside.
STEM Center
$375,000
The STEM Center for Innovation is a 2,700 square-foot facility that opened in the fall of 2021 and transformed how students learn at HCA. Under the leadership of Dr. Brad Christensen, the facility features workbenches, tools, and materials for students to design and build a wide variety of projects. STEM is commonly used as an acronym for careers that utilize science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with “STEM education” as a list of classes that prepare students for careers in those fields. At Hebron Christian Academy, STEM is an educational philosophy with corresponding pedagogy. STEM is a synergistic combination of related academic disciplines leading to a greater depth of understanding of concepts and their applications.
Enrichment Center
$125,000
The Enrichment Center is a 2,453 square-foot facility that opened in the fall of 2021. The completion of the Enrichment Center created space for student accommodations by providing quiet space for testing, extended time for tests, read aloud support, classroom tests and quizzes, and assistive technology. Our Enrichment Services include access to our Enrichment Center, Enrichment electives/courses, and provision of accommodations. Our Enrichment team works with families to build a learning plan that addresses each student’s learning profile, with the intent on leveling the playing field so students can flourish in a demanding academic environment by showing what they know, understand, and are able to do.
1-to-1 Technology
$1,000,000
In each of our lives, God provides areas of giftedness and areas of personal passion. Our dream for each of our HCA students is to provide them an opportunity to fuse their giftedness and their personal passions for a future career that is God-honoring and in the center of His will. One essential tool in this process is cutting-edge technology. Technology is a mandatory component of virtually every career path, so providing our students an advantage in this arena is critical to their pursuit of God-Sized Dreams. This enormous investment provided interactive boards in every classroom, the necessary infrastructure for current needs and future growth, and personal laptop devices for every single student from K4 through 12. This project has been completed and was fully funded.
Frontage Project
$200,000
The frontage project was the very first project in the 5-Year plan announced when Dr. James Taylor became the Head of School in 2000. By adding architecturally beautiful stone entrances, metal fences with stone columns the length of our campus on Dacula Road, and a vehicle actuated gate at each end of campus, we were able to unite the appearance of our school. We strongly believe that God deserves our best, and our new entrance makes a powerful statement about the quality and steadfastness of the education our children receive at Hebron Christian Academy. This project has been completed and was fully funded.
